During the dark days of the military dictatorship in Argentina in the 1970s, there was only one newspaper that dared to publish the names of the “disappeared” – let alone to put them every day on the front page, as Andrew Graham-Yooll did as news editor of the Buenos Aires Herald. Graham-Yooll, who has died aged 75, nearly paid with his life for such audacity.
